The supplied crankshaft is designed for a displacement from 70cc.
Therefore, appropriate cylinders + pistons should be installed, which, however, require a aufspindeln the housing bore.
- 70cc cylinder with 50 liner = 50.2mm-
70cc cylinder with 53 liner = 53.2mm-
85cc cylinder with 54 liner = 54.2mm-
85cc cylinder with 54 liner, drilled & ground to 50 piston size = 54.2mmIn
any case, always check the clearance of the kick starter pinion.
The 5-speed gearbox with long 1st gear needs a little more space, so the housing has to be milled out a little in this area.
The delivered engine kit consists largely of individual parts! The assembly should always be carried out by an experienced Simson engine builder with suitable tools. (e.g. engine assembly stand, heater, adjustment tool gearshift, etc.)
In the first hours of operation, the engine should be moved carefully and preferably with the gasoline mixture 1:33.
(We expressly recommend Motul 800 2T Road Racing)
The determined performance values serve only as an example! Decisive influencing factors are the cylinder used, the exhaust, the drive train, the ignition system, the jetting and the air filter used.
The use of an 85cc cylinder, which was drilled and ground to a piston size of OVER 50mm is technically possible, but not recommended. We strongly advise against it. (Wall bush under 2mm!)
