ZT 5 gear transmission reinforced version 2019


The constant further development of Simson tuning engines (with increasing displacement) leads to ever higher performance values and thus higher torques. Especially with engines with 85ccm and more, the standard 5-speed gearboxes reach their limits, especially the first two gears are at risk.
With the new version we can offer a much more robust variant, which at the same time by the adapted ratio of the 1st and 2nd gear allows better acceleration. The gear jumps between the first 3 gears are much narrower, which means that the engine does not coast too much after the shift and therefore more power is available in the next gear.
The gear widths of the 1st and 2nd gear are almost the same as the gear widths of the 4-speed gearbox, together with the adapted gear ratio and optimized profile shift we can even achieve a higher load capacity than the 4-speed gearbox.
This makes the new version suitable for both extremely high displacement street engines and high revving race engines, where gear connection is particularly important.

Long 1st gear or medium 1st gear?

The choice of the right gear depends on the intended use and the respective engine.
For maximum riding comfort (also in pillion mode) with engines below 13Nm, we recommend the "medium" 1st gear. Since here the starting is facilitated by the shorter transmission ratio.
For extreme loads in motorsports / cross use, we still recommend the long 1st gear, because the 2nd gear is designed even more massive and the ratio allows a better gear connection.
For engines from 15Nm torque, we generally advise the long first gear.

Ritzel kleiner machen (14), verschraubten Schaltwalzenbolzen und nadelgelagerte Schaltwalze (oder den geänderten Schalthebel von ZT mit Kugelgelenk) verbauen. Das gute RC80 Getriebeöl nehmen. Die Schaltung wird butterweich. Fahre das Getriebe mit einem PZ 70 Allday und das passt so sehr gut zusammen.

Am besten mit verschraubtem Schaltwalzenbolzen kombinieren - so lässt es sich am besten einstellen. Als Getriebeöl habe ich habe ich das Maxima 80WT von Ronge Motorsport verwendet.
