Cover cap for cord spring - prevents the gearbox balls from being distributed in the engine if the cord spring breaks - preventively counteracts greater engine damage - only fits with M5xx engines - suitable for the motor series: M500, M531, M532, M541, M542, M700, M741, M742 Additional info: The cord spring is a component of the transmission and keeps the small locking balls of the pulling wedge in your bore. After high mileage or through excessive load, it can tear. The locking balls are then no longer held in place and can wander unhindered through the engine compartment, in the worst case also through the gearbox. This can cause gearbox damage. The cord spring cap is designed for this case. In the event that the cord spring tears, the balls are excluded and thus prevented transmission damage.

Die Schutzkappe für die Schnurfeder ist sehr passgenau gefertigt. Sie klemmt leicht auf der Welle. SO kann sie nicht verrutschen. Die Kappe deckt die Feder komplett ab. Insgesamt wirkt sie hochwertig. Der Preis ist angemessen. Einen Kauf kann ich empfehlen.
