Set: Clutch basket + GEN2 drive pinion The older generation of engines (M53 & M54) also achieves ever higher torque values thanks to the high-displacement cylinder kits. The transmission and the primary drive in particular are not up to this high torque in the long run. It is therefore necessary to find a solution that relieves the gearbox, but does not limit the driving pleasure. The new, straight-toothed primary drive with a significantly longer gear ratio (approx. 20%) reduces the input torque on the clutch shaft by about 20% compared to the standard primary drive. Here, too, the surface on the clutch gear is tempered by means of induction hardening, which results in an almost indestructible primary drive in connection with the optimized translation and tooth geometry. As a small side effect, the series secondary translation of tuning motors can be kept (otherwise the chain sprocket always had to be increased by 2 - 3 teeth). - gearing module 2 - straight geared version - 8-way riveted coupling basket - induction-hardened clutch basket gear, hardened primary pinion - translation 19:50 (2.6315) Original translation 20:65 (3.25) - Suitable for high loads - Suitable for all Simson S50, KR51/1 with M53 / M54 engines Scope of delivery: - Coupling gear with clutch basket - Bearing bush for needle bearing - Primary pinion Note: Due to the longer primary gear ratio the chain sprocket must be chosen a little smaller (2-3 teeth) than with the original primary drive. Pay attention to proper play when installing! A 1.8 mm thrust washer must be installed between the bushing and the bearing.
